Financial Services Overview

Financial cooperatives serve both individual and cooperative business member-owners, providing loans, credit, financial services, and insurance.

Credit unions play an important role in consumer banking, offering financial services to the individual consumers that own the cooperative.

Farm Credit is a reliable, consistent source of credit and financial services to agriculture and rural communities. Farm Credit institutions are lenders, raising funds through the sale of bonds, and are owned by their customer-borrowers.

Mutual insurance companies are owned by their policy holders, and provide both property and casualty and life insurance coverage.
